PUBlic transportation

The Cleveland Area Rapid Transit (CART) provides public transportation in and around Norman and links the service to Oklahoma City. Greyhound Lines Inc. provides service in Norman. The Port of Catoosa is the nearest river port, approximately 100 miles away in Tulsa.

The City of Norman adopted the NORMAN 2025 Land Use and Transportation Plan on November 16, 2004. It represents a desired land use pattern in response to anticipated growth rates, public utility constraints, and environmental conditions. The Plan embodies a conscious decision by the City of Norman to anticipate and make choices about the town’s future. It provides a vision for the future and a foundation for managing Norman’s growth.
